LOVE this outfit on Eleonora (and the London light was so pretty as well): everything from her dip dyed hair to her sweet little hat (half cloche/half train drivers cap?) and gorgeous skirt. And on a day like today in London (grey, grey, grey) this outfit is the perfect, colourful pick me up (sort of like the effect production of a secret bag of boiled lollies has on passengers on a long, boring car journey ;).
Olivia Palermo, after Antonio Berardi, London, September 2012.
Even though Olivia is a celebrity, I think this look is wearable "in real life" (not sure how else to put it!): a leather skirt (choose a shape that flatters your body shape), simple sweater, white ankle-strap pumps (maybe leave off the ankle strap if your ankles are more cankle than ankle), a neat clutch and finished off with a belt folded over to look like a bow.
Mini Bag (just big enough to carry your travel card, front door key, lip gloss and £$€): Sonia by Sonia Rykiel micro mini bag, Cleobella mini Cantina bag, Diane von Furstenbergmini harper bag
Today's posts were also suppose to be inspiration looks you could wear on the weekend (adjusted for the weather of course!) for coffee with friends, trawling antique/car boot/food markets, brunch at a cafe or the movies ...but since we are almost at the end of the weekend that idea is rather redundant ;) No matter, there is always next weekend!
p.s. If you need something to do this evening or next weekend, I absolutely loved, loved, loved Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom which was all shot on Super 16mm film. Brilliant.
Absolutely adore Aussie model, MJ (Wilhelmina agency) she is super nice, funny and very grounded. And you get the feeling that no matter how big she becomes, she will always remain that way.
And I loved that she walked in the Rodarte show. MJ still lives at home in Alice Springs in Australia (which is pretty much at the heart of the Australian Outback) and the Mulleavy sisters' inspiration for the fall collection was.....The Australian Outback!
