Love this sportif outfit on Hanneli (the college/Varsity jacket taken to the next level.....or at least to higher ground with those wooden platform heels!) and the way she has pinned back her hair....perfect if you are growing out a fringe.

Paris Fashion Week AW 2012...Before Valentino

 

Pretty, dreamy, ladylike Valentino lace, Paris, March 2012. 

Some inspiration perhaps for anyone getting married and looking for something a little less traditional to wear...

 I absolutely loved the Valentino SS 2012 collection - so many beautiful pieces and exquisite hair and make-up. Most of us will probably never be fortunate enough to wear Valentino but it is still wonderful to dream :)

Recreate her look (kind of):

Imitation Molly lace maxi dress, Beyond Vintage lace maxi dress, Dolce Vita Valentina lace dress (love this dress if you are looking for a shorter style which can be worn with flat sandals for day and dressed up with heels for evening. This would be perfect to wear to a wedding if you don't think the bride would mind you wearing ivory....or even as a "party" dress for the bride for dancing in at the reception); Lover Wiccan mini dress, or Wiccan asymmetric dress (in slightly longer length), Charlotte Ronson drop waist lace dress (team with tan boots or flats) or By Malene Birger Illione ruffled lace dress

Paris Fashion Week AW 2012...Sarah

I first spied this beautiful Celine floral skirt on Tamu in NYC  so it was nice too see Sarah wearing it in Paris as well (with slightly warmer weather!). They accessorised differently but both teamed it with a crisp white shirt. I love the tiny taupe shrunken sweater that sits snugly over Sarah's button-down shirt.

Paris Fashion Week AW 2012...Hanneli

For me, there is a whole lotta 80's going on here with Hanneli's outfit. I think it is the wash and detailing on the jeans combined with the double-breasted jacket (with just a hint of 80's power dressing about it). But all brought firmly forward to 2012 with those Acne Alice platform pumps and the Valentino studded clutch.

Preen pink Navigator blazer or Stella McCartney double-breasted hemp blazer  or  ASOS premium double breasted blazer

J Brand Aidan Slouchy jeans (they haven't got the fringing down the front but still have the same-ish vaguely 80's vintage feel)

Acne Alice silk platform pump or try the Audrey platform mules in denim or hot pink silk

Valentino VaVaVoom convertible clutch/ shoulder bag in black or patent red (I love this clutch and the way you can hold it with your fingers threaded through the studded band).
